The urbanization of Vancouver and rising housing costs makes it the perfect location for a community bike shop. Paired with good food and good drinks, Jammer plans to provide the ultimate social hang out space where people can develop their mechanical and restoration skills, or just relax with coffee and friends.

The concept of the Urban Garage comes from the idea that the average person living in a modern city often has limited space. A shared, community workshop provides a little getaway that mimics dream garages and a DIY shop where everyone, of all experience levels, is welcome. Having a space to enjoy a craft, have access to all the required tools, and share the experience with other like-minded enthusiasts, creates a community where people can learn from each other and enjoy the art of motorcycle restoration.

Vancouver, British Columbia, is a motorcycle mecca. The stunning coastal landscape at the foot of the mountains offers some spectacular riding opportunities; from local track days, to dirt bike trails in the forests, and of course the world famous Sea to Sky Highway.

The central neighborhood of Mount Pleasant has become known for its many micro-breweries and high tech corporations.

The Jammer team began looking for a location in 2014. 15 locations later, including dozens of visits to city engineering, 5 lease applications with architectural layouts and soul breaking lease offers lost, we finally found the best location of all: 350 West 8th Avenue. The years of searching brought tons of experience with many, many great contacts and a stronger business plan and model. Our base, in the heart of the city, makes us extremely accessible, whether you’re travelling by motorbike, car, bus, Skytrain or bicycle!
